Cabinet Construction
The versatility of frameless cabinet construction.
Kitchen Craft’s tradition of frameless construction excellence has always started with using the right materials. Hinges that fit the needs of a modern lifestyle and designs that allow for full access are both features associated with our standard cabinet boxes, and ensure a well-constructed cabinet. What’s more, upgrades give you the freedom to add features as desired. Below are some general cabinet terms and construction options to help you imagine your dream space. Your designer will be able to answer specific questions on Kitchen Craft.
Standard Cabinet Overview
Concealed 110o, 6-way adjustable clip-on hinges, 5/8″ thick furniture-board cabinet sides sealed with PVC moisture-resistant edge tape, easy-to-clean melamine cabinet interiors, 5/8″ thick horizontal crosspiece braces that stabilize the cabinet sides with the front and back, full depth adjustable shelves, and 3/16″ painted hardboard backs all combine to make our cabinets a versatile and dependable platform for your home.
If that’s not enough, Kitchen Craft offers a variety of cabinet box upgrades to add extra durability. Choose from: plywood* construction, which uses a 5/8″ thick plywood-core* board instead of particleboard-core for Maple, Cherry, Oak, Alder and Rift Integra door styles; a natural maple melamine interior; 170o turning hinges; and soft-closing doors.
Wood Doors
There’s nothing like the luxury of solid wood. Which is why we use furniture-grade solid wood and veneers in all of our standard stained wood doors.
When ordering Maple cabinetry featuring an opaque finish,
5-piece doors and drawer fronts will be constructed with solid MDF center panels. MDF provides a more stable and uniform product preferable for opaque finishes.
